wHO QUALIFIES TO ATTEND THE TRIP?

  • Anyone! Students, medical providers, social workers, and anyone excited about community health and medicine is welcome to inquire.

  • Please note: medical providers and nurses are required to have valid practicing licenses.


wHAT IS THE COST?

EXPENSES

  • $200 deposit with the application.

  • Airline ticket: ~ $1,600 - $1,800

  • Room/board/group transportation: $1,500/person

    • 2 people will share rooms. Private rooms are subject to extra cost.

    • x3 meals/day are included in this cost.

    *Please note: we accept one-time payments and monthly payment plans.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • A full refund will be given prior to booking housing. Partial refunds will be given after housing is booked.

  • Each individual is responsible for their own airline changes/cancellations/fees associated with their airline ticket.

WHAT WILL THE TEAM BE DOING?

  • Since our trip in 2018, we have remained connected with local community health workers in Kanel. The long-term goal is to create a sustainable care model that echoes local needs and are replicable in other areas.

  • Build a temporary outpatient clinic inclusive of various stations: triage area, exam rooms, pharmacy, and public health education areas.

  • Clinic time for direct patient care with local medical providers and community health workers.

  • Distribution of medical supplies, mosquito nets, and female hygiene kits.
