Cellal Africa is raising funds to support medical professionals and communities in Senegal, West Africa.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Medical Trip to Senegal was postponed to December, 2021. We are now raising funds to send homemade masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, sanitizing wipes, bleach and soaps to the medical personnel and the community members in Kanel, Senegal.

DISCUSSING FACTS AND MYTHS ABOUT CORONAVIRUS

In Senegal there are many speculations about the virus that can jeopardize proper measures to avoid contamination. For instance, some will say “coronavirus does not affect africans”; “If you drink cow urine, you will not get infected by coronavirus”;“Coronavirus does not live in hot climates” etc. These are few of the things I hear people say in Senegal specially in remote areas such as Kanel, where access to acute information may be impossible for many. I decided to make this video to set the record straight.
